Government Medical College, Chandigarh

The Government Medical College, Chandigarh was initially an endeavour to provide the students of that State a platform for studying medical at the graduate level. 

Previously, Chandigarh lacked a college that would conduct a medical course at the graduate level, even though it had Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER) which provided medical courses at the post graduate level.
